Terms of sale

Last updated August 4, 2026. These are the terms for buying on nekurai.com. Returns, privacy, grading and shipping each have their own page so nothing here has to restate them and drift.

Who you are buying from

Nekurai is a small independent secondhand shop based in Texas. There is no storefront you can walk into, no phone line, and no live chat. The only contact channel is email — contact@nekurai.com — read by the person who packs the box. The postal address on the site is a registered agent, not the packing address.

One of each

Almost everything here is a single physical unit. When it sells, it is gone. Listings are photographs of that unit, not stock images and not a different copy of the same title. Cosmetic grade describes appearance only; whether the thing works is a separate call, and any functional claim requires a bench record on the item page.

See how we grade and how we test.

Price and payment

Prices are in whole US dollars on the item page. Checkout is hosted by Stripe as a guest — there is no Nekurai account to create. Card details go to Stripe and never touch our servers. Starting checkout creates a short hold so another buyer on this site cannot take the same unit mid-payment; the hold lasts about twelve minutes and then releases if you do not finish.

Putting an item in your cart does not reserve it. Only starting checkout does, and only for that window.

eBay and other channels

Some items are also listed on eBay under the seller name nekurai. In the rare case an item sells there (or otherwise becomes unavailable) after you have paid here, your payment is refunded. We do not ship a different unit as a substitute — there is no second copy.

Shipping

Direct checkout ships inside the United States only. Shipping is a flat rate shown before you enter an address, based on billable weight and the speed you pick. Multi-item carts combine into one shipment and one rate. Details, tiers and the expedited cutoff live on the shipping page so this section cannot go stale against the cart.

Shipping

Returns

Most purchases have a thirty-day money-back window from the day of delivery. As-is / Junk Corner items and anything marked final sale on its own listing are excluded. The full rules — who pays return postage, condition required, when refunds land — are on the returns page.

Returns

Modified and homebrew hardware

Some consoles ship modified for homebrew or open-source software. The listing says so. We sell the hardware only: no copyrighted games, ROMs, BIOS images or other copyrighted data are included, and storage is wiped before ship. What you install afterwards is your responsibility. Non-stock firmware can behave differently from a factory unit — read the listing and email before buying if you are unsure.

As-is and final sale

Junk Corner and other as-is listings are sold for parts, repair or donor use. There is no functional promise, and those sales are final. Anything else marked final sale says so in the buy box on its own page, not only here.

Order changes and chargebacks

If you need to change or cancel an order, email contact@nekurai.com as soon as you can. Once a label is bought or the parcel is with the carrier, options narrow to the return path. If something is wrong with an order, contact us before filing a chargeback — chargebacks are slower for everyone and usually end in the same place a conversation would have.

Limitation

Secondhand goods are sold as described on their listing, with the grades and tests shown there. To the extent the law allows, Nekurai is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from a purchase. Nothing here limits rights you cannot waive under applicable law.

Contact

Questions about an order or these terms: contact@nekurai.com. We aim to answer within a business day; if two go by with nothing, send it again.
