Where it came from, what we did to it
An original 1971-era United Artists pressing of Don McLean's American Pie (UAS-5535), carrying the tan Rainbow Collection label — the full 8:27 title track plus Vincent, Empty Chairs, and Babylon, with the album's dedication to Buddy Holly. This is a player copy of one of the defining American albums: the jacket has led a hard life, with heavy surface scuffing, corner wear, and a seam split, but the record itself is solid and tested — it plays through with no issues.
